Partiendo de Pan : Breaking Bread

Every last Saturday of the month, we partner with Feeding America to provide free food to those in need and facing food insecurity.

The Wednesday Team working to set up our Food Distribution tables at Montclair First UM Church.

"Do you want some extra Peppers?" the Truck Driver said. "Sure" Pastor Terry replied. "Oh No!" he thought when the driver delivered 11 crates of 40 pounds each. "Will we ever distribute all of these?"

When we saw that we needed lots of hands to distribute the groceries, everyone stepped up, found a place on the assembly line and went to work!

Our neighbors were invited with hand delivered invitations. All the homes next to the church were visited on Wednesday as well.

All the bags had to be filled by hand! Seventy Six bags of groceries plus extra oranges and Jalapeño Chilies were prepared.

Amidst the stacked of boxes and crates, our team worked quickly to transfer the groceries into the bags.
